Inizializzare HD esterno

Ciao a tutti, 
ho inizializzato un nuovo HD esterno
con file system MS-DOS.
E' normale che lo stato S.M.A.R.T. è
"non supportato" ??
E' normale che lo Schema partizione è
"Registro boot master" ??
