certo che devi collegarlo ma mi domando se hai letto:

Windows: Use the GUI installer's uninstall function or the dd command after reading Using Cygwin.
Note Windows users: If the Apple Restore Utility is not helping, try the HP tool. These tips might help here: open the HP USB program and select yor ipod (if your computer won't mount your ipod reset it(menu selet button) and then hold the play/pause and selet button so it's in disk mode. Now the HP tool will recognize it. Format it with the hp tool and run the ipod updater software and happily start using your ipod again.

se non si monta, fai un reset (che si fa sull'ipod con una combinazione di tasti) e poi rilancia l'installer (che fa anche da unistaller) in alternativa sono indicati altri sistemi. (HP tool)

nota che il primo modo indicato è il ripristino da itunes (quello che nel link è definito come Apple's Restore Utility.... il vecchio ipod updater per indenderci) che non si è capito se è stato tentato oppure no....

cmq sono ben 3 i metodi per "sistemare" il tuo ipod....

Ora il problema è ben piu Grande..
L'ipod non mi fa fare piu nulla.. è Morto
Attaccandolo alla porta usb come alimentazione, appare la mela carica i vari file per far patrire podzilla, mi sta 4 secondi sulla schermata principale e poi Tac Si resetta di nuovo, Mela, Caricamento, Scheramata Morta, Mela caricamento ecc...

Che devo fare, sto impazzendo

il reset e poi riprovi uno dei 3 metodi di ripristino. (sopra segnalati)
