Problema a scompattare file.sit

Ho scaricato Bryce 5.5 free, alla fine del download ho un file .sit che se scompattato mi fa apparire questa finestra:

An error occurred attempting to expand /Users/Jack/Downloads/Bryce5_5_Free_Setup.sit
The archive may contain damaged content ( Error #17538 )

L'ho scaricato più volte per essere sicuro che non vi fossero stati errori durante il download e me lo sono fatto passare anche da amici a cui funziona bene ma stuffit non lo scompatta. Come posso procedere?
Ho un Macbookpro Intel OSx 10.5.

non si legge la versione di stuffit expander.

usa unarchiver, ma se l'errore persiste il file è realmente corrotto. scaricalo con un altro browser.

Stessa cosa dice che file corrotto!
Questo è il link da cui scaricare http://www.download.com/Bryce/3000-6677 ... d=10696717 , sembra essere attendibile... può essere che interrompendo il lungo download più volte si creino degli "errori" nel file?

Sono riuscito a scaricarlo senza interruzione, l'ho installato ma crashava, reinstallato e adesso sembra funzionare.
